7th February 2012, Tuesday. 盆菜 Day ~

My very first visit to Restaurant LYJ (李雄记酒家) @ Kampung Baru, Sungai Buloh.

Their famous dish… "Pun Choy"a traditional village dish originating from Hong Kong.

Well, it’s not as Yummy as I thought.
Maybe due to CNY, their food are not as presentable as expected too...

saw another table's Pun Choy... it looks Yummier and... more expensive !!!
Maybe there's different grade of "Pun Choy"... Hmmp...

The First meal was the traditional "Lou Shang" where we shout "Huat ah !!! Huah ah !!!" and just mix all of it together. A bit like "Rojak" for me.  :P

*The Before*

- and -

*In the process...*
Huat ah !!!

- Finally -

*The After*

The second meal was the "so-called shark-fin" soup. Don't think it's shark-fin... {",?
It taste the same like "碗仔翅" at Puchong Perdana Pan Mee Stall that selling RM2.50 per bowl.

The third meal... Standing Roast Chicken "Dong Duk Gai" (栋笃)

Beautiful lady with the "Standing Chicken" !!!  :P~

And the cutting process...

Lonely head, that's what left...

The forth meal… Cha Siu, Lap Cheong Rice.

Finally, Vege of the day !!! :D

And Lastly, fruits as dessert…
-The Papaya & Watermelon-

That’s all about the food...

Now, let’s look at the wall decoration… or should I say “information” instead?

Year 2008, The 6th China culinary World Championship

“高朋满座”which means “Packed”
See carefully, It looks like a teapot … {",?

Check out the Custom made “Motorbike” out there !!!  It's soooo.... cute !!!

5th of February, Light The Street of Century-old Jalan Sultan !!!

The "LAST" of Chinese New Year Celebration?
[ 5th of February, Light The Street of Century-old Jalan Sultan! ]

On January 23rd, 2012.. while Malaysian Chinese eagerly welcoming the arrival of the Year of Dragon (壬辰龙年), pleasantly learning the news of additional inclusion to the National Cultural Heritage List, namely Penang's "Giant Flags Procession" and Johor Bahru Old Temple's Chingay.

City folks in Kuala Lumpur's oldest century-living heritage street - namely Jalan Sultan, however are facing heartbreaking moments, receiving probably the "LAST" of Chinese New Year celebration. Until a week before the Chinese New Year, owners in Jalan Sultan suddenly received the final notice from the Land Office stating clearly that if the owners did not sign an agreement before 30th of January (9th day of CNY) , Land Acquisition Act will be imposed and the construction of the proposed MRT line will be bulldozed through.. hence the lost of the century-old street in the history of Greater Kuala Lumpur.

On 5th of February 2012 (Sunday 8:00pm), we sincerely invite you to come and light the street of century-old Jalan Sultan bring hope and courage to the people of this street, including those dedicated friends in culture, heritage & arts......SUPPORT the people's choice of re-alignment (to Jln Pudu / Tun Tan Cheng Lock) ... OBJECT Land Acquisition (OLA)!!! SAVE KL Heritage!

茨厂街社区艺术计划 最后一个农历新年?年十四,灯佑苏丹街。

土地征用和古迹破坏,犹如每隔十年,一次接一次的文化掠夺!
1983年,马六甲州政府要把三宝山铲平发展为商业地带;
1991年,柔佛古庙山门被强拆事件;

Day 4 - Bukit Merah Laketown Waterpark

Woke up early in the morning with a big Smile on my face. =) Getting prepared and feeling excited on our very last journey in Taiping for this CNY. "The Bukit Merah Waterpark adventure..."

DBB work there as a lifeguard about 10 years ago. Stories from him as a part-time lifeguard are fascinating...
Stories about their swimming training before work that he went through, the cash Money they've always "fished" by the water filter, the evening-sexy-tourism from all around the world, eg: Japanese, Hongkies, the guai-lous and etc etc...

I've also heard about the U-shape Boomerang, Giant Wet Bubble (challenge: climb up without using the rope !) and many many more. I'll share some of Bukit Merah Laketown Resort details that I've found from the web for your convenient. =)
